Huy Lam

Huy Lam served as the CFO of Integral Institute from 2003-2006. He was also a part of the core team that developed the Integral Life Practice program, and a teacher at the integral practice seminars. He is a long time practitioner of the martial and yogic arts, and specializes in the physical and energetic components of integral practice.

Previous to working with I-I, he held financial and project management roles in several technology companies, including Silicon Graphics, Securant Internet Technologies, and Wholepeople.com.  Huy began his corporate career working in Silicon Valley. It was during this time that he discovered Shaolin Kung Fu. The body, mind & spirit connection of this martial art inspired his exploration of what would evolve into his own integral practice. He also started studying Buddhism and began meditation practice at a local Zen center. Through the study and practice of Zen he had his first glimpse of the non-dual. To this day, he enjoys pretending that this state is something other than what always already is.

It wasn’t until 2002, during a sabbatical, that he discovered Ken Wilber’s writings. Upon reading Ken’s books, he had the big ‘a-ha’ experience that many do. After reading several books, he was so inspired that he was able to access his good karma and get introduced to Ken just a few months later, and started working with Integral Institute.

Huy is married, has two children, and also enjoys Kung Fu, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, mindful relationships & parenting, snowboarding, rock climbing, dancing, volleyball, racquetball, and occasionally stopping to do nothing at all.
